NOTE: The website listed -- careplanners.net -- is not Care Planners in Colorado Springs, but for an unrelated entity in Richmond, VA. This review includes a guardianship experience with a member representing Care Planners at 2960 N Academy Blvd, and a serious black eye on the guardianship profession. This was a VERY costly, pain-filled experience with a smooth-talking guardian who simply defied court orders that we had to get for better care, at even greater expense, and yet the care got even worse. Wasteful expenses and unnecessary wages were charged, and the experience included treachery and disrespect. The ward suffered added miseries I hope no one ever has to bear at the end of a life. I recommend a LOT of research to find a good guardian and to become aware of warning signals in this mostly unregulated profession, good educational material found on the National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse (NASGA) website, a HUGE eye opener on the need to protect YOURSELF, as well as a loved one in guardianship.
