Ambrosia has long been a dream, but became a reality in September 2014 with a booth at Soda City, where we continue to be most Saturdays. We have slowly increased business by delivering home cooked dinners, lunch boxes to office training sessions, dinner parties with cooking demonstrations and catering a few small, medium and even one moderately large sized event. Ambrosia offers not only popular Greek dishes, cooked as they do in Greece, using fresh herbs, spices and produce, such as: spanakopita, moussaka, Pastitsio, Lemon roasted chicken, tzatziki and home made pita bread, souvlaki, stuffed vegetables, dolmas, baklava, etc. but also lesser known regional cuisine, including a variety of vegetarian dishes, home made phyllo or pizza creations, appetizers and various Greek and Southern pastries and desserts. Carol Rogers Papaletsos is the owner and chef of Ambrosia. She was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, but her spirit is Greek. She received a degree in Modern Greek Studies at Boston University, and further developed her love for Greek cooking while living in Greece for twenty years. She returned to her hometown to share her passion for authentic Greek meals and delectable treats. Carol prides herself on delighting her customers, being easy to work with, and maintaining high standards with her ingredients and service.
