Established in 1965, Central Nebraska Community Services, also known as CNCS, is a nonprofit, human service organization that offers a range of services throughout the state of Nebraska. It provides various health care, housing, rehabilitation, weatherization, nutrition assistance, educational and case management services. The organization has a community economic development department that offers a variety of housing, loan and technical assistance services for families and business units. Central Nebraska Community Services also maintains a family outreach department that administers several programs that feature crisis, advocacy and financial counseling services for families. Additionally, it conducts an immunization program that includes vaccinations for illnesses and diseases, such as Polio, chicken pox, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Rubella, Measles, Mumps, Hepatitis B and Meningitis. Central Nebraska Community Services maintains an office in Columbus, Neb.
