Banks Collision Center had my car from November 8, 2013 until July 31, 2014. That's nearly EIGHT months. Part of the delay was due to the fact that Banks was unable to locate more than 50% of the parts required for the repair, so I had to locate and procure them on my own. I spent $2,807.26 on parts and shipping, and the final repair bill from Banks was $8,139.07, a total of $10,946.33.

During the time they had my car:

- I was told that the brand new aftermarket hood I bought was damaged and could not be used. This did not get brought to my attention until I was past the return date on the hood, so I had to absorb a $273 loss on the hood.

- I was told that I would have to pay $124 for a fender that Banks bought and did not use, but they were no longer able to return it.

- I was told that I would have to pay $250 for a new-used hood (now the third hood used in the repair), to replace the second hood I bought because the new paint they applied cracked open in several spots.

The car was supposedly "finished" on 7/21, but I found a list of 9 things wrong when I inspected the car (scratches, a 3" long run in the paint, blemishes in the paint, bubbles/debris in the paint, loose trim, buff marks, etc.). When I returned to pick up the car again on 7/31, the quality of the work that was done to address my list of items led me to give up and accept the car as-is. There was still a blemish in the paint on the hood, they had hastily applied an epoxy to retain the loose trim and the epoxy is now visible, and they did nothing to address the defects in the paint on a trim piece. Furthermore, part of the initial repair involved replacing the radiator. I had asked (in 11/2013) if I could purchase new radiator hoses and new oil cooler hoses, as all of these hoses connect to the radiator. I was told I could do so and I had the parts shipped directly to Banks. When I picked the car up on July 31, I was told that my spare parts were in the trunk. I was shocked to find the brand new radiator and oil cooler hoses in the trunk.

When I got the car back, I noticed 2 very loose nuts inside one wheel well. Upon further inspection of the rest of the visible hardware in that wheel well, I found more screws that were hand tight, as well as a missing screw. I spent the next week going over my car, and found:

- More loose hardware in the opposite wheel well

- The mounting bracket for my ABS braking unit was damaged in the accident. They did not replace it, nor make any attempt to fix it, so my ABS unit was literally floating around my engine compartment and only held in place by the brake lines attached to it.

- The battery tray was missing a bolt, which allowed the battery to wobble

- A broken vacuum fitting that was never replaced or repaired

- A wiring repair that was barely wrapped with electrical tape, leaving the electrical connectors exposed

- 3 missing rubber splash shields - Leaking oil cooler hoses

- They reused the old spring-style hose clamps on the radiator hoses instead of replacing them with new clamps

- Loose hardware throughout, including on the hood, the hood support, & the hood latch

- A missing screw that retains the electric fan to the radiator

- The 2nd electric fan for the radiator is noisy, and should have been repaired

- More missing hardware, including screws for inner door panels, air dam, bumper cover

- Loose hose clamps on vacuum & windshield washer hoses

- All 4 brake rotors were badly rusted from sitting outside for so long

- Grossly misaligned headlights

- Clearcoat overspray on aluminum rims

- Poorly applied clearcoat to 1 fender

My advice? Stay AWAY.
