A destination golf course, Cherokee Run was designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay of the Arnold Palmer Design Group. Cherokee Run Golf Club is an 18-hole championship 72 par course with a 143 slop, 7,016 yards and a 75.1 rating. The design features Crenshaw bent greens, Zoysia fairways and 96 strategically placed bunkers. Tall pines line most of the fairways and natural granite outcroppings surface dramatically on a number of holes. It's golf at its purest surrounded by nature at its finest.         Overall

        This little gem is situated just inside of a equestrian destination that features many amenities. They have recently upgraded their golf carts to digital GPS systems that feature live-scoring, distance to pin and other functionalities that make playing golf here a more enjoyable experience. The terrain is challenging, as players will encounter many elevation changes throughout their round. The course is tucked away in a sprawling mountainside, and very seldom to houses line any of the fairways. You'll be sure to enjoy it. I'm giving it 4 stars because many of the teeboxes and greens could be better maintained and the proshop staff wasn't very inviting.
