PNC Bank

This bank is different from all others. The day I opened my account I was introduced to every employee and they welcomed me to the family. They have treated me like family ever since. I don't have a lot of money but I'm treated like a millionaire. They even sent flowers when I had a death in the family.

I banked with PNC for three years without any problems. Then unexpectedly, they closed my account without telling me after making a $5,000 deposit but refused to reimburse me for over a week. It was all because of a Branch Manager named Connie Boan in Coral Springs who was given a little power and it went to her head. She was ignorant, had a poor attitude and acted like she had a lot of power because she controlled my account/money . I have been in business and dealt with people for year’s and she handled a client/customer the wrong way. On top of it, my young daughter was traveling alone with one and only PNC debit card that had approximately $5,000 in the account and they turned the card off and she was left stranded alone out of gas in Perry Florida. Connie had a brief opportunity to do the right thing so my daughter could get gas and come home but she let her position of authority go to her head. She jeopardized the safety of a young teenage girl traveling alone across the state and left her stranded in the middle of nowhere. She is very lucky something bad didn't happen to her while I drove the 6 hours to rescue her. A number of people at PNC way above her pay grade have said she handled my situation incorrectly and I only hope they deal with her accordingly. She shouldn't be allowed to be a branch manager or make decisions that affect people’s lives because she proved she couldn't handle even the slightest authority. I have filed a complaint against her with PNC and I truly hope they deal with her appropriately. I hope this review helps others avoid the mistakes I made in banking with PNC. I wouldn't bank at any branch where this woman is involved.
