Quality Poor to fair

Builder Services came out and took estimates on a fair amount of work we wanted done on our new house. I didn't hear from them for a week. They charged 175.00 for the estimates so I called the office and said I would like a refund, as we were looking to have work done quickly and I hadn't heard anything. Within five minutes, they called me back, saying a refund was "impossible." They gave me my estimates then and there (which, to me, means that the estimates were done-- my business just wasn't important enough to them for a timely response.) I had the majority of my work done elsewhere. I called Builder Services to set up a small job in my home (because the 175.00 they charged to do the initial estimates apparently went as a credit towards whatever work I scheduled with them) and two weeks later they finally called me back, saying that the price of that specific job had gone up TEN FOLD. Weeks earlier, I had a very specific conversation (when I finally got someone to call me back) where I made sure my estimate credit could be used, no matter how small the job was. They took the price of replacing chair railing from 200.00 to 1000.00 for the sole purpose of making me "go away." They are a horrible business out to take your money and run. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE PLEASE.
