Terrible company to do business with. Lousy customer service. BUYER BEWARE. I have called several times to the company and have not received any satisfactory service. The people who answer the phone are rude and abnoxious.

April, 2010 I entered in a 5 yr contract with SHS with monthly payments around $44.00. In 4/2012, the system stopped working. I called for service and reported my issues. No one came to fix them. I decided to stop paying for monitoring service until they came to fix it. in 8/2012, SHS sold my contract to another monitoring service and lost my paperwork. They then told me that I didn't have a service warranty. I sent them a copy of my contract proving that i did. In 11/2012, they said they would not send a tech here until i paid them for the months when they didn't monitor. they agreed to cover 3 months if i paid the rest. i did that today. then they said they wouldn't schedule a tech visit until my payment posts, 7 days from now. they told me that when they did schedule a tech, that person would call me 30 minutes before they would come. if i miss that cal for any reason, the tech won't come to the house. i then learned that if I don't send a certified letter indicating my intention to terminate my contract 60 days before it is up, the contract automatically rolls over for another year.
these practices are predatory, unethical and fail to provide the service that was agreed upon in the contract. my understanding is that i have no way out of the contract in spite of these facts.

The nice reviews written below came from their employees or stockholders! How in the world a company like this would receive more than 1 in rating! Poor customer service and never tell the truth regarding the contract. Stay away, far far away from this company. Even managers are careless.

VERY BAD AND EVIL, CRO-OK-ED company! You'll sign a contract that automatically renews and if you don't call within 60 days before it expires, they renew for another 3 years and won't let you out of it! If I could give a zero star I'd give it!

I have had many issues with this Security company, In June 2011 I needed service done to my alarm, because it said low battery and it took 2 weeks to get the alarm company to come out, this was after 2 weeks of them saying they were coming and saying they would return my call. Finally the rude technician came out and fixed the alarm with an attitude like I caused him problems, when I was the one without service for 2 weeks. About 2 months after that the alarm said low battery again. At that time I called to make another appointment and the man I spoke with said that someone would give me a call within 24-48 hrs. I have yet to hear from anyone but that time the alarm fixed itself. On 12/14 at 1:24 pm I spoke with Denise from Safe home security, very pleasant and listened to me. She informed me that she would put in a request and that a technician and her manager would be calling me by the close of business. That call was never received. I am not sure why this company is not normal like other companies and will not just make an appointment at the time they are called. On 12/15 at 10:12 I spoke with a very very rude Dan. Who would not listen to my side of the story and claimed to be a manager. He claimed that George, the manager would be calling me but he does not know when. On 12/15 at 11:55 I spoke with George, all George had to say was someone will be calling. On 12/16 at 2:05 pm I spoke with Maria who said that I am supposed to give the home office one week to contact me, I informed her others told me 24-48 hrs. Then Maria went on to say she would call Denise who will call the tech who will come out to my home. On 12/18 we received a call saying that a tech would be out on Monday 12/19 at 11:30 to fix the equipment. On Monday at 1:45p.m., when I had not received a visit or call I called safe home. On 12/19 at 1:48 I gave Safe Home my account information and someone hung up on me. I called back at 1:55 and spoke with Brittany. Brittany said she would call Aspen to see why the tech did not come out; she said maybe he was fired or something. At 1:57pm I spoke with Allen Smith, he said he would not be able to come out because his car broke down and someone would contact me on Saturday. I told him it would be really hard for me to believe that I wouldn’t be contacted until Christmas Eve. When asked why no one called to inform me after taking a day off to wait for them to come, he said “I don’t know, we are really busy”. The customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. It was a mistake going with this company and I wish I could get away from them and their faulty equipment. I would not wish this company on my worst enemy. I am supposed to feel safe with an alarm, but that is not at all possible with faulty equipment. From my understanding this company should not have the ability to do business in Louisiana. I would like to get away from this company with no penalties. Just cut all ties.

Stay away from this company. I was a customer and in 2009 the equipment failed. I was informed that I would have to pay for new equipment and was under contract till 2011. For 2 years I had to pay for a service that I didnt use and did want. When my contract ended I faxed them my cancellation request. They said I faxed it too late and renewed my contract till 2014 and that I would need to pay for a service that I am not getting for the next 3 years. Instead of making the customer happy they would rather just get paid. I would rather go with a company that cared about me instead of treating me like a prostitute.

After thrree years of living with a broken alarm decided to call them. I got disconnected once, but the salesman called me back. I finally let them come to my home to see what was wrong. They helped me. Fixed the alarm and put a new monitoring something on for me.

It only took one home robbery to convince me. Thank god we weren't home. After that I called Safe Home to come down to secure my home. They walked around and through my home with a detailed checklist, gave me a quote on the spot . Their prices were fair and their service way above average. They spent two hours with me and calmed my wife's fears.

We use them, my brother uses them and I have referred two friends to them. I would say they are the best alarm dealer in town hands down.
