Shell

I do not even know where to begin. Being a creature of habit I have bought my gas at the same place since I was sixteen years old. So for the past seven years i have frequented this particular establishment daily. Sometimes twice a day, as was the case today. I stopped and threw away a few fast food bags, wrappers and a soda bottle (most of these having been purchased from this particular Shell) and left. About four hours later my boyfriend and I came back and bought 20 dollars worth of gas and finished cleaning out the two, maybe three handfuls of receipts and gum wrappers and other various very small bits of garbage. Immediately after replacing the gas pump the owner of this establishment came storming out of the doors and was immediately very irate. He began screaming that he had watched us on the camera throw away trash earlier in the day and that he had just emptied the trash and we were not to use his trash cans for a second time that day. We calmly tried to explain that we had just bought gas and that we had thrown away a very small amount of garbage but he cut us off and began screaming again that we could not throw away trash there. At this point his wife came out and began to scream at us to leave and not to come back, they had watched us on the cameras and we had already thrown away trash once and were not to do it again. At this point we were completely shocked and absolutely livid so I went inside and tried to ask for the name of the owners. I was not allowed to finish my sentence and was very loudly ordered to leave the store. The couple then proceeded to follow us out screaming and gesticulating before she was very roughly shoved back into the door by her husband. I then tried to call to get a name so that I could file a complaint and was promptly hung up on both times I asked for a name or to speak with someone. I know this sounds ridiculous and like there should probably be some extenuating circumstances but unfortunately there are not. I literally buy either gas, snacks, or drinks there almost every single day. I had never had a problem with the couple before but truly all I did was throw away a very small amount of trash into the trash can. I didn't litter and I even bought gas! I was ordered to leave and never come back but that most definitely will not be an issue. I have NEVER been spoken to that way in any establishment I have ever been to. Normally I wouldn't take the time to complain about something like this but these two went absolutely nuts on me. Just thought I'd warn you!
