- Shocks and struts are one of the critical components that control your vehicleās steering, stopping and stability. As they begin to wear or degrade, they lose their ability to control lean or sway and provide tire grip or adhesion when encountering bumps. State Inspection Service: Kwik Kar is an Official Vehicle Inspection Station for the state of Texas. Timing Belt Service: The timing belt maintains critical crankshaft-to-camshaft synchronization, keeping valve operation matched to piston position. Tire Rotation: Tire rotation helps protect tires against uneven wear by moving the tire location on the vehicle. Transmission Service: Take care of you automatic transmission by routinely performing Kwik Kar's Transmission Flush Service. Tune-Up Service: A standard tune-up, or spark plug replacement, done at the suggested maintenance interval will make an engine easier to start, improve fuel economy, lower emissions and restore lost power. Additional auto repair services include: Light Bulb Replacement, Wiper Blade Replacement

Outstanding all the way around! I bring my truck and my wife's car here. We live in Richardson and make the drive down for the great service!

I called before going to get my oil changed to get pricing. Since I have a truck I know needs additional oil. I wanted to know what my costs would be before I brought my truck in for service. When I pulled up, I again verified the price with the mechanic "Juan." He then pulled my truck in and drained the oil. After he drained the oil, he took me to my truck and told me that he quoted the wrong oil "5-w30 instead of 10-w30," and the price is going to be aprox $23 more!!! I don't know if this is a normal thing this company does to get people in the door so be very careful. I was left with two options, drive my truck out of there with no oil, or pay the extra charges. I feel extremely taken advantage of.

Both times I've taken my car here I've been told I needed to have windshield chips repaired and that my insurance company would pay for it. Last year I let them repair my windshield but it felt like a sort of scam to me. This year I carefully looked at my windshield from the outside before I let them take my car and sure enough, I was told I have two more chips that needed to be fixed. Now I suppose it's common to have windshield chips but this feels like a scam against the insurance company. When I spoke to the manager and told him I carefully examined my windshield before I let them have it and that this felt like a scam, he told me to leave. Just sayin...
This is absolutely not a scam. This vehicle was in plain sight of the customer at all times, with the exception of about 10 seconds while it was being driven for a brake test, which is required by the State of Texas for a vehicle inspection. Glass repair is a service we offer, only because we had customers coming in asking for it. The shop does not make a dime for the windshield repair that is done. The person that does the repairs, works for an outside company. I tried to explain that the chip in question was in an area that was hard to see and that he only found it because that is what he is trained to do. I strongly suggested that if she did not feel comfortable with the situation, we should not do the repair. However, she insisted that she wanted to do the repair. Then, I overheard her telling her insurance company that we were running a scam. I simply told her that under the circumstances, I would not allow the person to repair the chip. We would finish the other service that we were in the process of doing, but since she continued saying we were running some kind of scam, the windshield repair would not be done. I even offered to make a note in our computer system to ensure that she was not approached about this issue on future visits. She was NEVER asked to leave.
