Smokeys House of BBQ

Pay attention to the reviews! We read the reviews but decided to still eat here because we had passed by several times and the smell was so wonderful. I got the chicken burger and there was NO sauce on it. The beans are not my style and the cole slaw was warm. The price was not bad for a BBQ joint but it is not a place worth writing home about.

The food was GOOD but somewhat pricey (must be the area we are in). We sampled the chicken (very moist), St Louis Ribs (mmm mm), and the Tri-tip (needed sauce to wash it down). The restaurant decor and atmosphere was typical for a BBQ joint. I was hoping for a better experience but on a Wednesday night 3/12/2008 the advertised 29 degree beer sign had a large digital thermometer reading 41 degrees. The food preparation people did not wear hats or hair nets. At 7:30 PM they ran out of baby back ribs! The bill for two with one soft drink was $36.00. It's worth a second visit...
