Part of the reason prices are going to be higher is that they likely purchase less quantities from manufacturers. Places like Home Depot and Lowe's are great, but it also costs much more in time and fuel to go save a few cents on those small items. The other detail to consider is that the folks at Rogers and Tenbrook's know what they are talking about and are able to provide "real help"...instead of dealing with high school kids that don't have a clue. Delivery is another big one. Local deliveries are about ten bucks if you are making large purchases that you cannot do with a car. It cost us eighty-five dollars to have a delivery made from the Lowe's in Henrietta. And yes, they are very friendly, much more so than chain stores!
