Labor and Delivery
Many times following childbirth, nursing, weight loss, or menopause a woman may find that her breasts have lost their firmness, and are sagging. A breast lift (mastopexy) is a surgical procedure that lifts and reshapes the breasts. It is also quite common for a woman to have a breast lift in conjunction with a breast augmentation.

General Surgery
He then completed a full general surgery residency at Nassau County Medical Center in New York. Dr. Attaran completed his plastic surgery residency at Georgetown University where he trained with the most talented and often innovators of the latest plastic surgery methods.
Wound Care
While Dr. Attaran will go over the risks of surgery with you in detail, you should also make sure all your questions regarding your surgery are answered. Your surgery will be easier if you are comfortable with the knowledge of what to expect. Once the surgery is complete you will be sent home to recover. You will be required to wear bandages over the incision sites to reduce swelling and speed healing. A small tube may be temporarily placed under the skin to drain excess fluid. You will receive specific instructions regarding recovery, wound care, and follow-up. It is extremely important to follow the doctor’s instructions to minimize your chance of complications. The results of surgery are almost immediately visible. However, it can take several months to see the full effects of the surgery. Your body will need several months to heal. It may take over a year for the swelling or bruising to disappear. You may also have visible scarring. Dr. Attaran will make the incisions in the least noticeable areas where they will be hidden with clothing. However, some incisions may have to be made in more noticeable areas. You should also keep in mind that your body will change with age and this will affect your results.
Ear Surgery
Otoplasty, more commonly referred to as ear surgery, can correct developmental deformities of the ear such as prominent or large ears. Otoplasty surgery can restore proportions and bring the ear elements into harmony. This surgery is best performed between the ages of five and fourteen, (the ears having achieved their maximum growth by age five.) However, it can also be done in adults. Otoplasty surgery can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. Within a few days after surgery the dressings will be changed and a headband that covers the ears gently will be worn. Incision sites are hidden behind the ears.
Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Attaran’s training and experience in all areas of cosmetic & reconstructive surgery is extensive. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Attaran went on to Northwestern University, in Chicago for his medical degree.

Plastic Surgeons

Eyelid Surgery
The popularity of eyelid surgery is not surprising given the eyes are considered the windows to the soul. Wrinkles, puffiness, under eye bags, and drooping lids all contribute to the “tired or aged look.” Depending on the problem area(s), your surgeon may choose to perform surgery on the upper and/or lower lids. Body contouring to correct the effect of massive weight loss is usually performed in stages. You must remember that it probably took a long time to take off the excess weight and it can take as long to see the final results of contouring surgery.
