General Info: Dr. Fernandez is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has more than three decades of experience providing the highest quality care for children and adolescents. He joined AdventHealth Medical Group in Florida from Grand Haven, MI, where he was chief of pediatrics for the North Ottawa Community Health System. Prior to that time, he was the president and medical director of an esteemed pediatrics practice in Puerto Rico for 26 years. Having earned his medical degree at the respected Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic, he completed his residency training at Bayamon University Hospital in Puerto Rico. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and loves all sports â€“ especially baseball, which he has coached at all age levels in Michigan and Puerto Rico.
