When you sign up, you sign a contract. In the contract it says you must give 30 days notice in writing before you cancel the contract. And this means---for life--not just a year. And if you call to cancel your membership--maybe you are traveling out of town-- even if you signed up for a year and thought you could cancel at any time after that, you have to follow the right procedure to cancel.



When you call to cancel, ask for the email address. You probably won't be given this an an option for canceling. You may be told to come in and/or to write a letter. But really, you can just email and say, "please cancel".



Maybe with Curves, it's good to be careful about giving them your credit card number. Maybe just use a check? And you can expect to pay a little extra on the end of the term unless you remember these things.



I like the people very much and the staff, but this policy seems unfair.

This is a great curves location in a small shopping area next to a Kroger store. They have the basic machines that you need to get a good 30-minute workout and they check your progress every month to see how much you have lost in inches and pounds. When you lose they put your name up on the wall! They are really great and supportive.
