I recently took my Dodge Ram with a Hemi into AutoMD for an estimate to repair an exhaust leak. That afternoon they called me and said the engine had a rod going out and that they would be happy to install a new engine at the price of $5000. I said no and picked up the vehicle. That weekend I repaired the exhaust leak myself by installing two new exhaust gaskets. The noise my truck was making is now gone and it runs perfectly. I don't know if the mechanic and store manager are crooks or just incompetent, but to anyone else who goes to this business, get a second opinion.
