When our 25 year old deck was about ready to call it quits, we called C&H Construction to secure an estimate. We met with Charlie to review potential costs as well as to discuss designs. After a couple of weeks of reviewing the plan and costs we asked Charlie to do the construction. To say that we were more than satisfied with the quality of workmanship would be a significant understatement. The deck was completed on time, and is testimony to Charlie's commitment to quality. Charlie and his on the job assistant paid attention to every detail and the final product is even more than we anticipated. While he was constructing the deck Charlie did a couple of other jobs such as installing a new sill, a new interior door and two exterior doors. While on the job C&H construction was respectful of our property, committed to completing the job with excellence, and respectful of our input. I would highly recommend C&H Construction. There work product is exceptional.

When we decided to expand our living space by converting our garage into a family game room we chose C & H Construction to do the work. Charlie met with us to go over what we had in mind for the space. He was very helpful in every aspect of the planning, often bringing up things that we hadn't even thought of! Since we may want to remove a wall and open this room up to our kitchen sometime in the future, Charlie helped us to plan ahead for this by working a Phase 2 plan into how he constructed Phase 1. This was much appreciated! He and all of his crew were courteous, always on time and did quality work. They left each day with everything neat and clean. Charlie coordinated with all trades, including electrician, plumber, and flooring making the whole process easy and stress-free for our family. My wife and I have called on C&H for everything from repairing, upgrading, or replacing windows to siding. Recently, they handled a major remodeling project and addition to make our house wheelchair accessible. They were on time and on budget. C&H handled the plans, permits, variances, subcontractors and carpentry with clockwork precision. C&H's attention to detail and professionalism are some of the best I have ever encountered. Their willingness to work with our family's odd schedule requirements and other special needs really minimized any inconveniences that happen with any construction project. We have worked with C&H for over 15 years now and they are always the first ones we call when we need work done on the house.

C and H Construction made our house look like new again! We remodeled a deck, an aging porch, and had much of the trim on the house repaired. Charlie was able to recreate our beautiful "eyebrow" trim over the front windows. He and his co-worker were so congenial that they could have stayed for weeks!

C&H was very responsive and knowledgeable about replacing a rotted front door sill. They carefully stripped back the siding to assess the full extent of the problem. When they rebuilt the rotted area they ensured that water could not get in there again.



On a second job, they replace an entrance door to the garage. This required finding a manufacturer that could tailor a door for the short height that was available. Everything was accomplished quickly.



All the work was of the highest standards.

When purchasing a 1700s house, I knew it would need some repairs, but after the Great Ice Storm, the repairs became significant and urgent. Charlie and crew did the impossible; they constructed a state-of -the-art kitchen and bath that had all the convenience and style required in a modern kitchen, but in a way that blended into the historical ambiance of the house. They transformed what was a dark and dreary set of rooms into sunny, spacious and elegant living space that has become the hub of the home. The attention to style, taste, and detail was excellent, and everyone who comes into the house now gasps in amazement with the transformation. New windows and doors that are in keeping with the historical character were installed in what essentially turned out to be a new addition to the house. Charlie was respectful to me and easy to work with, and he understood that I had a limited budget. Yet his creativity enabled me to have what I needed and wanted at a price that I could afford. His team of craftsmen, including plumbers, electricians and flooring specialists, have increased the safety, appearance, functionality, and value of my home. He made the renovation easy and pleasant. I feel as though I have a new house now and the quality of my life is better than I could have imagined because of a renovation. I would encourage everyone to talk with Charlie before starting a project, big or small.

This has been my third project with C&H and I am as happy with this job as with my first in the early 90's. When you can't get some contractors to even call ou back to bid a job, Charlie always calls back the same day, is completely competitive in price, and he and his crew are awesome craftsmen.



The last tweo projects I have done with them, I simply told Charlie in theory what I was looking to accomplish, and he took it from there. C&H has exceeeded my expectations every time, and even finished ahead of schedule by a day on this current project. I would unequivocally recommend C&H to anyone. Their responsiveness is unmatched.
