This is a great place. Feels like an old time steak/chophouse. Dimmed lighting, full bar and great wine list. The food is delicious and it's never too busy. You won't be disappointed.

Since I have moved to Pleasanton about a year ago my husband and I have tried many of the restaurants in the area. Once we found Mcnamara's Steak & Chop House, we have made it our "Place to go" for Friday nights out. The service is fantastic and the atmosphiere is very nice. I would recommend Mcnamara's Steak & Chop House to anyone.

I thought my meal was good, but nothing over the top. I thought they were a little overpriced for the quality of the chef. Iv'e gone to plenty of pricy restaurants and the food usually reflects a distinct difference in the ability of the cook. They don't have a lot of competition for finer dining in this Tri Valley area so I guess they can get away with the higher prices. They were slow. There was a lot of time passing in between courses, by the time I finished my meal we had alreay been there over two hours. I didn't finish my steak and potatoe, I was too full from the salad/bread and had only taken a few bites of each. The busboy came to clear my plate and I asked him to box it. I guess he didn't speak english and he threw it away. (hmmm... you better get some staff that can communicate with the customers if your going to charge those kind of prices.) When we informed the waiter of the mishap, they said they would take care of it. An hour later, (with no offer of a free drink for all this time having to continue to wait at an empty table) they brought me, literally, a "peice" of a steak. Not a whole steak, but a quarter of one. with no potato replacement either. Can you believe it? When we questioned the size of the replacement they said they shouldn't have to replace all of my steak as I had already eaten some. WHAT??? So what did they do, give me the leftovers from someone else? I wasn't going to argue it and ruin our anniversary evening. I was very dissapointed in their lack of real effort to make things "right". We ended up paying our sitter for three and a half hours of babysitting when we should have been back home in two.
Why on earth should I ever go back and pay those kinds of prices at Mcnamera's when I can go to chili's for a fifth of the price, have very yummy food, and be treated like royalty.

An unexpected top notch dining experience! You would think you have to go to San Francisco for fine dining, but its right in Dublin too. Great atmosphere, food and service wonderful. Great place for 'that special dinner'.

Great service, great food, great drinks. The steaks melt in your mouth. Ask for Flavio as your waiter. He is the best.
