        Sweetwater was started by Elie Germanos in 1996. Originally called Sweetwater Billiards, Elie expanded the business in 1999 by adding a separate music venue and bar, renaming the establishment Sweetwater Bar and Grill. In 2002, Sweetwater teamed up with Jesse and LD of Subtle Hammer Productions to fill a much-needed void of an all-original music venue in Gwinnett. Hence Sweetwater LIVE was born. Originally booking Friday nights, Sweetwater LIVE has expanded to booking local bands on Saturday nights as well. Sweetwater Bar and Grill added further to its patron entertainment by bringing in Mr. Smokey's Karaoke in 2006, offering a unique style of karaoke Tuesday and Wednesday nights, complete with props such as hats, wigs, and even a rubber chicken. In 2010, we brought in Two Man Banned to host Open Mic Night on Thursdays. We have also become a hotbed for Texas hold 'em players in Gwinnett through Extreme Poker Tour six nights a week, as well as top-notch billiard and dart players.

Sweetwater LIVE, our live music venue, has become an Atlanta staple since its inception in 2002 and was recently voted 2010's Best OTP Music Club by Creative Loafing. Sweetwater Bar and Grill hosts the best in metro-Atlanta's original rock bands, as well as poker, dart, and billiard tournaments, karaoke, open mic, sporting events, and parties. Our 10,000 sq. ft. bar boasts ten professional eight-foot billiard tables, nine dart boards, two bars, and a full-service kitchen open until 1AM (midnight on weekdays). You can find Extreme Poker Tour Texas Hold Em six nights a week, as well as NFL Package and Buzztime Trivia and Poker.         I love it here! ...

        I love it here! Lucked into this place just a few weeks ago. The regulars are very friendly to me, and the drinks aren't overly pricey! The wait staff are great. Plus, the music they play is upbeat and fun.
