Oakwood Homes

I am very unhappy with my overall experience with Oakwood homes. The main thing is I did not educate myself on the home buying experience before I got into the process and the salesmen took advantage of that. Be advised that salesmen do not have your best interest at heart. They are only concerned with making money through their commissions when they sell a home.



After the closing I noticed many problems with the home I purchased and I had a difficult time getting the company to honor their warrenty and fix the issues. There were several issues I had to resolve on my own and out of pocket.



You can look at other reviews from other websites on the quality of the mobile homes that are sold by Clayton/Oakwood homes. You will see that they are very poor quality and they will never retain much value in today's housing market.



A good peice of advice would be to do your research before you decide to buy a home and get legal advice from YOUR attorney before you sign any papers. Legal advice will cost you extra money but it will be well worth it in the end.



The best thing you could do would be not to buy from Oakwood or Clayton homes at all. I wish I never had.

Dont waste your time with oakwood homes they just try to make a sell....sell you a pos mobile home...have had constant problems with the pos they sold me....after papers signed they could care less...Gaurantee you will be sorry if you buy a pos mobile home from them
