We have used Rick Anderson as our Architect on two separate projects. The last project was a beautiful custom home. Rick designed our project with our goals in mind: budget, esthetics, maximizing square footage, view corridors, abundant natural light, etc. The design is simply amazing to live in. All of our neighbors and friends comment on the natural beauty of our home.



Additionally Rick has consistently amazed us with his immense comprehension of the design codes, building codes and common industry practices. I can’t remember a time where Rick has been proven wrong by the city or a subcontractor. Even our framing subcontractor frequently complimented the detail and straight forwardness of Rick’s drawings. He also found Rick available for the few questions which always arise during construction.

We are delighted with how the home remodel and extension conceptualized and developed by architect Rick Anderson went. Our initial plans were to add a lower level build-out for business needs with a slight upgrade to the existing galley kitchen on the upper level. Rick was able to show us how, with little extra effort and staying within our budget, the rest of the house on the upper level could be transformed into a dream kitchen / great room, adding pantry space, an office, and knocking out one wall so the entire upstairs feels linked, open, and accessible on a daily basis as well as for large gatherings. The design was tricky to us, as it required linking new, modern spaces with an existing two-story house over 40 years old, but with some interesting architectural blends and suggestions Rick made to think longer term, we couldn’t be happier with a house we plan to live in for some 20 years to come. Cooking and entertaining is a joy and we LOVE our kitchen, something we never would have had without Rick’s help.
