Camp Bow Wow located in El Cajon, California is the best. We found there site when we were looking for some training for our new puppy. There was an adoption and information event held in their parking lot one Saturday morning, which we attended. We were given a wonderful tour of the camp along with information from the temperature to the sanitizing and play time at the camp. Each potential camper is given a day at camp to see if they are able to be sociable with humans and fur kids. This puts your mind at ease knowing that your kids are in a safe environment. It is amazing how much love they have for our pets. Each camper has his or her own “little cabin with a bed, toy, and trash can”. This is where they all go during their lunch time and breaks. Our little man has never spent the night, but if he were to they keep soothing lullaby music on for their campers and each camper even gets a ‘campfire treat” We have had our little man there since he was 3 months old. He is now 9 months old and loves to be there. Mark his wife and staff are amazing people. They truly love what they do. I was a bit nervous the first time we took him. I suppose one can relate my experience to that of a mother dropping her child at school for the first time, of course that is when your fur kids are like your real children. Mark is very good at calming first time nervous parents. Our little one was not used to baths, but they worked with him and he is always so clean, shiny and smelling good when we pick him up after a bath, and no stress or worry he is in a great mood.
Summer time was a blast. There is a pool inside each play yard for the kids to stay cool. Our little man loves playing in the pools. You want to know how we know? Camp Bow Wow has cameras all over the camp, which allow you to log in and watch them play using your computer. We just sit and smile seeing how happy he is. The Camp is always so clean. The play yards are kept clean of doggie mess almost immediately. Inside the floors are wiped up immediately when a camper has an accident. The hours are very accommodating to working parents. You can drop off your children as early as 6:30 am and if need be they are open until 7:00 pm.
They have many great events during the year. Meet ups with prizes and puppytinas for our fur kids at a local restaurant. At times the camp has an outside trainer come in for puppy training. This is where we had our little man in class. The staff is fantastic with communication and the camp offers everything from supplies to teeth cleaning at a reasonable cost. If you need a place for you kids you have to go and visit Camp Bow Wow in El Cajon. We plan on keeping our son going there for as long as he is able.
Happy parents, Sheree’ and Chuck and Zip our fur kid.
