4. Experience - This is key when getting rid of bats. Knowing points of entry and potential entry points are essential when getting bats out. Get references or check reviews on bat removal projects. Ask about the experience of the bat control company you hire. Pest exterminators may be good at getting rid of ants or termites, but not skilled in the bat exclusion process. Critter trappers are experienced in getting raccoons or squirrels in a trap, but are they familiar with getting a colony of a hundred plus bats out?

Bats like very warm spaces therefore underneath your insulation and down your walls is the perfect spot. Bats in Michigan are cavity-dwelling bats so they roost in caves or cave-like structures. Your attic is set up like an artificial cave, a perfect environment. Bats are nocturnal mammals, so the sounds you hear at night are bats coming and going to feast on mosquitoes. Bat removal and bat exclusion work is essential because bats carry many diseases like rabies. Their droppings (bat guano) can cause lung infection diseases like histoplasmosis. When the tiny little fungi spores become airborne they cling to dust and particles moving through your ventilation throughout your house.

"Live Bat Exclusion" Process. This is done by bat proofing your home with screen, caulking, caps, etc. Also a one-way trap door is installed at the entry point so the bats can get out but not get back in.
Raccoons
We don't assume what we are trying to trap.We investigate every situation, looking for clawing, chewing, and size of opening. Its real important to know where the animal is entering, exiting and living. For instance if we have raccoons in the attic we don't want to set the traps on the ground because we can catch every raccoon in the neighborhood. Find the opening and place the trap on the roof. If our trap gets wet, we make sure we constantly re-bait with fresh food or lure.
Wildlife
We stand behind our work and guarantee it with a warranty. It is our goal to solve your nuisance wildlife problem permanently. We identify the cause of the problem and fix it. Repairing the holes to prevent the return of wildlife is our number one goal. If an animal gets past our repairs, we will repair it at no additional cost. We are not responsible for damages to your home or property caused by wildlife during the removal process. We will not be held responsible for human or animal contact such as being bitten or scratched. Warranty starts the date of service and is transferable to new homeowners. Opossums

Animal trapping requires some skill, patience and experience. There are some things you must know when trying to trap nuisance animals from your home. Its not as simple as buying a live trap and filling it full of bait, then waiting for the animal to enter the trap. We take pride in catching all of your nuisance animals in a timely fashion but sometimes it does take patients. We always go for the target animal and never charge for non targeted animals. Trapping requires some knowledge to catch the wanted critters from their disturbance areas. Here are some things to know about trapping...

Birds
Bird control: (Not Covered) Removing bathroom vent or dryer vent covers will void the warranty for that service. New roofs, weather damage, or any other damages to the outside of your house will require a new inspection, estimate of repairs, and repairs completed to continue your bird removal warranty. Removing nest from the dryer or bathroom vents can not be guaranteed. Some vents may require duct cleaning by an HVAC company. Visual deterrents are not guaranteed but may be warranted by manufacture. We are the installers of this product and cannot guarantee the effectiveness.
Woodpeckers
Birds can sometimes cause more damage than any nuisance wild animal. There nest are filled with bacteria and fungi. There are several diseases associated with bird nest material. Just like with bat guano you can contract. Histoplasmosis when inhaling the airborne spores of the nest. The birds we generally deal with that give problems to homeowners and industrial buildings are pigeons, chimney swifts, starlings, sparrows, swallows and woodpeckers.
Sparrows
These tiny little birds can fit into small construction gaps creating nest in several locations on your home. Often a bird exclusion is needed in order to exclude these birds from their nesting area. Simple cone shaped one way doors and repairs of other potential nesting areas can solve your sparrow problem. Sparrows can also be a nuisance to building owners. In Michigan this is one of the most common bird problems we encounter. Typically spring is when sparrows in Michigan do most of their damage.
Starlings
Cages over dryer vents and bathroom vents can prevent birds from nesting in your flex pipe causing your exhaust systems not to work. Starlings will typically have babies in your exhaust vents two times a year. Sometimes we have to set a starling trap to get rid of the birds first.
Pigeons
Nicked named the dirty bird for a reason. Pigeons are one of the most common nuisance birds in Michigan, especially with commercial buildings. Pigeons are very adaptive to the city life and urban environments. Pigeons are known for roosting on signs, ledges, on top of buildings, and everywhere else. Their nesting material and droppings are filled with diseases such as histoplasmosis and cryptococcosis. It is important to control these birds, before they take control of you. We provide many pigeon control services throughout the state of Michigan.

Rodents
The most common problem we deal with in Michigan are field mice and deer mice. Mice are mainly nocturnal rodents but can also be found during the day. Mice love to live underneath insulation and burrow tunnels through out your attic. Mice can fit through 1/4" holes making construction gaps on your roof gateways to your attic.
Mice
Mice Control: (Covered) We do not use poisons! We provide a safer alternative solution to rid you of your mice problem. Your initial service call includes attic inspection, roof inspection, perimeter inspection of the home, installation of traps and sealing one main entry point. During the inspection we provide a full written report along with a complete whole home mouse proofing estimate to rid you of your mice problem (This is recommended). Your estimate is always good for one year. After the inspection we return in 7 to 10 days to remove any mice in traps. If we determine the mice problem has been resolved, we will remove all traps at that time. If all traps are full we will reset them and return in another 7-10 days. If you opt into our whole home mouse proofing, we will return to your home for up to 6 months and set new traps at no additional cost if the mice problem reoccurs. If a mouse chews through our repairs, we will repair it at no additional cost for five years.

Squirrels
Squirrel Control: (Covered) Our squirrel control program is much like our mouse program and designed to remove the existing nest. Your initial service call includes attic inspection, roof inspection, and perimeter inspection of the home. Our squirrel control program includes the setup of one-way doors, multi-catch traps, repeater traps, and snap traps in the attic or on the roof. For repeater traps or live traps, we require you to call with any captured squirrels. After the nest of squirrels are removed we will repair the main entry point at no added cost to you. If there are multiple potential entry points we will give you a whole home squirrel proofing quote. (This is recommended) This will also keep other wildlife out as well. Your estimate is always good for one year. If snap traps are installed in the attic we will return within 7-10 days to check the traps upon scheduled appointment. We will continue to remove any additional squirrels for up to 30 days (if necessary). If you opt into our whole home squirrel proofing, we will return to your home for up to 6 months and set new traps at no additional cost if the squirrel problem reoccurs. If a squirrel chews through our repairs, we will repair it at no additional cost for five years.
