My daughter had chicken pox (despite being vaccinated for it) and between the 2 pediatricians there, they couldn't diagnose it. They didn't suggest labwork, do any follow up calls, or even remember to transfer her records from her previous pediatrician (she had been in the office previously for a flu shot, so they had plenty of chances). $250 later, I wish I would have just stuck with the diagnosis I had made by searching the internet - it was definitely chicken pox. Had been to the office multiple times before, as I just had a baby, and hadn't been terribly impressed with Dr. Evans, so this trip cemented the negative feelings I had begun to have. F for expertise and F for professionalism.

BEWARE of surprise added fees and charges. We went here for a second opinion for our child and were told our visit was going to cost 80-85 dollars before the visit and at the end of the visit. We tried to pay upon leaving and were told that we could not pay at time of visit since their "printer" wasn't working. Kim the manager added codes on our bill to make it cost 205 dollars, expecting BCBS to pay the added fees. We have a high deductible HSA which means we have to pay the extra surprise fees. When called on it she indicated that everyone knows about this extra fee already and that is why they don't tell people about it. In fact, when Cook Children's FT Worth office investigated, both the clerk and Kim told them I was made aware of these added fees before the visit and while in the office and that they couldn't take payment at the time of the visit because they didn't know the cost of the visit. Which is it; they knew about the fees before and told me or they didn't know the fees and couldn't bill me at time of visit? Caught in the lie. Be careful with this office because they all cover each other's back in the lie. The big question is why would anyone knowingly pay 205.00 for an office that we can always get for $75 or so? We just wanted to get a second opinion for our little girl and instead got shafted by the office manager.
