I had to put one star to continue...that's regrettable..I also had a terrible experience with this place. I reported them to the BBB also.
Here is the compliant/review i filed. Pain clinics in general are dens of suspicion and disrespect. But, this clinic has the worst front end of all time. Numerous missed appointments and never returned a call or message through their online portal. Hours are ridiculous...two phone lies for the entire office!! so its always busy or going to the VM that is always full.(only Holds 20 messages) Place shuts down for lunch from 12-1 machine fill instantly at only 20 messages....only work until 4:00 PM. When told of the numerous issues presented at the clinic "reasons" were found to no longer have me seen at their office....instead of addressing the obvious issue with the office staff. Almost all the staff seemed hurried and unorganized often pacing back in forth in search of things...not the place you want doing back or any kind of surgery on you. Find a different place...trust me. Wish someone would have taken the time to review before me...terrible, terrible experience. FYI - I had the wife try and deal with the front end and they screwed it up with her too....sometimes its a personality thing I know...not this place, this place is bad...stay away!!.

I would leave a minus 10 if I could, but unfortunately the lowest I can leave is a one, which is more than this clinic deserves. to try & make a long story short, I was involved in a horrific accident 3 yrs ago, which left me disabled & with severe pain at times. my narcotic meds had been reduced to 4 Percocet a month & all other pain meds proved to be ineffective. my primary dr. does not like to prescribe narcotics & since I was asking for a slight increase, for my severe pain which was a few times a week with activity, he referred me to franklin pain clinic. dr. WHITTEN walked in with a disgusted look on his face & when I explained my situation, he said "your x-ray doesn't warrant narcotics". when I told him several dr.s disagree & that I am actually on disability for my injuries, he said "that's why I don't do disability reviews. we have people on disability all the time coming in her asking for narcotics, and they shouldn't even be on disability". I was extremely insulted by this & I told him that ive been an LPN for 12 yrs & was on my feet for 8 hrs every day & I cant even be on my feet for more than an hr at a time now. he proceeded to tell me that I should be working & that work is important & I should get vocational training. then he again told me that my x-ray didn't warrant narcotics & he got up & turned his back & proceeded to walk out. I then said "dr., are you seriously leaving? didn't you become a dr to help people? youre not helping me.". then, without looking back, he threw up his hands & continued to walk out the door. I was in complete shock! I went to the desk & said "did he seriously just walk out on me?" whereupon one of the girls said "he didn't refer you to anyone"? NO. "he didn't refer you back to your ortho"? NO! she then went to the next room to speak to him & then came back & said I should go back to my ortho. I then explained that my ortho wanted me to be seen here, and i asked to speak to the manager. someone said "i AM the manager, and dr.s dont like to prescribe narcotics anymore". and at that point I raised my voice. NOT yelling, but I raised my voice so that the dr in the next room could also hear what I had to say. I said "how dare he walk out on me after 5 minutes? how dare he tell me I shouldn't be on disability? how dare he tell me that I should be working"? at that point, Tasha Hustalen walked up to me & told me "you need to leave right now or im calling the cops"! I told her that I wanted the contact information of the owners of the clinic & someone handed me a card & said they were out of town. I asked for the name of the dr & Tasha said "ok, im calling the right now"! & went to the phone. someone told me the name again, so I wrote it down & walked out. since then, I have called ONCE, trying to get direct emails to the owners, not a general email to the "staff at franklin pain dot com", and I rudely told that it's the only email I can contact & that they were ending the call. and I was hung up on. in my opinion, every person in that place should be ashamed to call themselves a professional health care worker. because, trust me, there is no "CARE" in that place whatsoever!
