        Dr. Cuevas is a board certified rheumatologist who completed her training at Vanderbilt in 2004. She does not participate with any insurance plans and is therefore considered an ‘Out of Network’ provider. Patients are required to pay for their treatment at the time of service. Dr. Cuevas will provide you with a receipt (also known as a superbill) at the end of each appointment. Some patients can submit this to their insurance for the possibility of reimbursement. Please note that Medicare patients are not allowed to apply for reimbursement. Dr. Cuevas has elected not to participate in insurance plans in order to avoid the administrative problems plaguing the healthcare system today. Working outside of the insurance system allows Dr. Cuevas to customize your treatment plan so that you can receive the treatment that your condition warrants. She is intentionally keeping staff small and her patient census small so each patient can get more direct time and attention from Dr. Cuevas herself (instead of mostly from nurses and front desk staff). She believes that every patient is unique and merits an individualized treatment plan. Outside of work, Dr. Cuevas likes spending time with her family, cheering for the Titans and Preds and enjoying all types of music.

        Positive Life Changing Experience

        I have been to other doctors who helped me a minimal amount compared to Dr. Cuevas. She has helped me obtain a much better quality of life. She listened to me first and reviewed my medical history. Then she examined my painful body. After a short time of adjusting medications based on test results and my comfort level, I actually felt almost normal and virtually pain free. Dr. Cuevas is really gifted in this area of medicine. I cannot imagine not having her help me manage this progressive disease. I know she cares and will locate the best options to help me keep the "good life" as long as I can.

        The best

        i feel so fortunate to have Dr Cuevas take care of my needs around arthritis. She actually remembers my medical history and my family situation. I never feel rushed through an appointment and she is always willing to listen to my ideas, answers questions and work with me to address the issues my arthritis presents.

        Personalized individulized attention

        I saw Dr. Cuevas years ago when she first got out of her rheumatology fellowship and was delighted to know she is in private practice. I love her model of self pay and no insurance. This enables her to spend quality time with the patient and focus on their concerns and needs. I am delighted to be seeing her again after all these years.
