Bates Mechanical Inc was founded in 2001- the owner, Rusty Bates, was born into a household where plumbing was a way of life. His commercial plumbing experience came from working with his father, Jimmy Bates. Rusty worked with his father on commercial projects during his high school summers and full time in his 20s. Eventually Rusty went to Southern Tech, achieving his dream of pursuing a higher education once he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. The plumbing experience he gained with his father’s influence is the foundation of his passion for the industry and knowledge of the trade. This expertise enables him to hold the daily operations of Bates Mechanical Inc to the highest of standards. Rusty is married to Mary Jane Bates, a wife who has respectfully stood beside him through the stressful and emotional growth periods of this plumbing company. They have 3 wonderful children, Matt, Marley & Micah.
