Crowns
Dental implants are long-term replacements for missing teeth. Made of titanium metal, they are placed in the jaw by an oral surgeon, where they fuse with the bone. Once this fusion is complete (typically 3 to 6 months) a dentist will make a tooth-shaped crown to fit on top. Implants can also be placed in areas where there are numerous missing teeth. This can give support to a denture that in the past was ill-fitting.

Dentures
Injury to the upper and lower jaws sometimes requires surgery to repair hard and soft tissue. Dr. Robinson and Dr. Sleet are experienced in both the art and the science of treating mouth and facial injuries that result from accidents, tumors, long-term denture wear, and other causes.

Dental Implants
Dr. Mencarelli was born and raised in western Michigan. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he first discovered his appreciation and preference for the surgical aspects of the dental field. After his time at the University of Michigan, he completed a 1-year internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Kentucky, following which, he was accepted to and completed the 6-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program including receiving his medical degree (MD). He has achieved board certification and is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and an avid participant in multiple local dental and oral surgical societies. Dr. Mencarelli specializes in many aspects of oral surgery including IV sedation, tooth extraction, dental implant placement, treatment of dental infections, diagnosis and treatment of oral pathology, and many more.

Outside of practicing oral surgery, Dr. Mencarelli enjoys spending time with family and friends. As a family man, his top priority is being a dad to his growing children and a husband to his wife.
Jaw Surgery
Dr. Jacobs is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who strives to provide quality and compassionate care for his patients. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and completed his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The Ohio State University. He specializes in many procedures of the head, neck, and mouth including tooth extraction, wisdom tooth removal, placement of dental implants, bone grafting, facial trauma surgery, biopsies, and corrective jaw surgery. With the ability to deliver general anesthesia and IV sedation, he provides surgery in a comfortable atmosphere and helps patients alleviate their dental anxiety. Dr. Jacobs is a diplomate to the Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is currently a member of the following professional organizations...
