Handyman Connection

If I could give them "0" stars, I would. We used Handyman Connection in December 2011 to install pre-purchased hardwood floor in our kitchen. Prior to the installation, we had a pipe that had leaked under our sink and had made the sub flooring soft.

I was out of town, while my husband was there to over see the work.After removing the existing linoleum flooring,the installer told my husband the subflooring didn't need to be replaced. He decided it was best to just run a fan on it for a day. What?????! After that, he did nothing to level the floor where it had apparently warped from the previous moisture.

I should have known this company was nothing but scam artists when they had my husband sign a paper at the end, stating that we were pleased with the work. It also stated that there was nothing we could do about it if we were not happy with it later down the line. What kind of company doesn't stand begind their work????!!

The problems started not even a month after the installation. Fist of all, there were major gaps between the boards. It has been so bad,that I pray nothing spills on my kitchen floor because it just seeps inbetween the boards. After you think whatever has spilled is cleaned up, it seeps back up between the boards as you walk over the area where the spill occurred. Then, a floor board started sliding back and forth. Next the quarter rounds just started falling...yes, falling off! The floor is severely sloped in one area. There are also sizable gaps cut around the doorways. The two thresholds never sat flush against the floor. One is severely cracked and one just fell off yesterday!!!!

Sadly, we are going to have our floors replaced in the near future. What a waste of good flooring and money! :(

I say all this to say I WOULD BEVER EVER hire them again!!

I have used Handyman Connection several times in the past. They have always came out on time and worked diligently to get the jobs completed. I called to have a window installed and the man that came out ordered the window and when it came in replaced it and did a excellent job. Also, I had my deck pressure washed and then sealed, the man did a excellent job. I'm glad to find someone dependable, to do these types of jobs and repairs !
