Diamond Mountain Rentals

Registering late, we were pleased to find accommodations over the July 4 holiday, choosing Ski View Condo #205. The ad promised a king size bed, a queen, a sleeper sofa, and Ethernet Internet. On arrival, we found a bonus: The sleeper sofa is an original La-Z-Boy sleeper sofa, dating back 40 years, a piece of history.



Seniority, sadly, does not enhance furniture as it does senators and union workers. This sofa may be OK for a small child, at least one you don't like, but "inadequate" is a term of charity for this old unit, with its missing springs and popping mattress coils. The Internet connectivity is a myth, too, and the queen bed is just a double.



We reported the problems our first day and left a day early to get a decent bed before driving home. Diamond Mountain gave a pro-rated discount for the one day, but was otherwise parsimonious and unresponsive.



Next visit, we will find a rental earlier. And not from Diamond Mountain.
