Estate Planning
Collectively, the firm has over 70 years of experience in probate and estate administration matters. In addition, the firm has an established record of closing decedent's estates more quickly and efficiently than large institutions that perform the same functions. Our knowledge of the tax laws and the interrelationship between estate and income taxes has produced substantial tax savings during the estate administration process. The broad range of experience of the firm's professionals makes us distinctively qualified to handle all aspects of estate administration. In the context of representing the fiduciary of an estate, we will draft required probate documents; including inventories and accountings, and will represent the client at all hearings before the probate court. In addition, the firm will prepare the succession and estate tax returns, and fiduciary income tax returns for estates and trusts.
Wills
The firm's estate planning practice includes everything from simple wills, living wills and powers of attorney, to family business succession planning. The practice also encompasses family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, and a broad range of trust arrangements such as living revocable trusts, marital trusts, credit shelter or by-pass trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, and grantor retained annuity trusts.
