Independent Living Plus Individuals in our independent living apartments can take advantage of optional services to meet needs that do not rise to the level of our assisted living program. People have benefited from regular reminders, escorts to meals and programs, and homemaker services available on an hourly basis for everything from daily trash removal to writing holiday cards. With these add on services, it’s possible to customize a plan that meets specific needs. Assisted Living Apartments Assisted living at Laurel Oaks takes all the benefits of independent living — a private apartment, emergency response, and convenience services, and combines them with the necessary support to keep older adults living as independently as possible as their health changes. A full-time registered nurse provides clinical oversight. Assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing and dressing, medication management and specialty care for chronic diseases is available. Laurel Suites Apartments Laurel Suites is a dedicated program within Laurel Oaks designed for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Under the professional eye of a registered nurse, specially trained and compassionate caregivers address the unique needs of individuals at varying stages of memory loss.
