        Bad Customer Service

        Today was the first time I have visited this bank, I am a customer at Preferred Credit Union out of Greenville, but am new to the Grandville area. I went to the Rivertown Federal Credit Union to deposit money for car insurance and had $30 in rolled change as well. First off she fought with me about where my account is through she kept saying "Grandville or Grand Rapids " I said neither its Greenville (apparently she is not familiar with Greenville) . Once we got that straight, she told me I would be CHARGED to put rolled change in my account. How ridiculous! So for future customers I strongly suggest going to any other credit union. Option One is great to ALL customers, no matter if you are through there bank or a shared branch member.

        Hi Holly, I'm so sorry to hear you had a bad experience. There must have been confusion over Greenville because our teller was not familiar with that part of our state. That is certainly frustrating! It is our policy to charge for putting rolled coin into an account, as it is with many financial institutions, but I know that is frustrating as well. I do apologize you had a negative experience and that this message is coming to you so late. We thank you for your insight and will use it to improve in the future!
