Gentle Dental Care

We have been seeing Dr. Wehner for a number of years now and have always been happy with the results. He's very personable and explains exactly what is going on. The hygienists always do an excellent job also. The reason I give a 4 instead of a 5 star is that the receptionists don't tend to smile and be friendly. I always wonder if I have made them mad or something. They also try to sell the higher-priced option and apply somewhat of a guilt trip when you don't choose that option.

So I guess I'm looking for a new dentist.



This office was recently taken over by Dr. Wehner from Dr. Phelps. Unlike other reviewer I didn't have any problem with bad service to get repeat business, corrections were done on the dentist's dime, including a crown that broke within a year of installation.



My main complaint is that when my work put me on an unexpected 5 month business trip out of town, rather than leave me a message asking me to call back when I could come in, the office sent me a letter denying me any future service. Apparently this dentist doesn't give any credit for the 13 years of attendence at the practice he bought out. Apparently he doesn't want any new patients as my letter asking if there couldn't be an easier way to handle the situation and if they really meant to dismiss me so curtly went without a reply.



Dr. Phelps did have the tendancy to push for a lot of cosmetic stuff but once I explained that I wasn't interested I hadn't had any problems other than that till the recent change over.

He scams insurance agencies and he will also scam you!!!!!



He half way does stuff so you will be ok that day but you have to come back in a week or two to have a tooth pulled or something because he did not do it right the first time!!! Then you are stuck with a huge bill!!!!
