Intermediate Unit One is one of the largest providers of special education services in Pennsylvania. Intermediate Unit One has been serving more than 25 school districts in Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for more than 30 years. It comprises various departments, including human resources, adult basic literacy education, data processing and instructional support services. Its information services department provides training, repair, delivery, videoconferencing, and purchasing services, and technical support. The unit also provides comprehensive special education services for children up to 21 years, and assists local school districts in the delivering various special education services. Its business services and operations department provides group purchasing consortiums, administrative support, consultation, transportation, delivery, mail and property management services. Intermediate Unit One is located in Coal Center, Pa.
