Dental Examination
An oral examination is a visual inspection of the mouth, head, and neck, performed to detect abnormalities. Radiographs allow for a more complete examination, helping the doctor to detect cavities, problems in existing dental restorations, gum and bone recession or other abnormal conditions within the mouth, head and neck area.

Teeth Cleaning
A dental cleaning, also known as an oral prophylaxis, is the removal of dental plaque and tartar (calculus) from the teeth. Specialized instruments are used to gently remove these deposits without harming the teeth. First, an ultrasonic device that emits vibrations and is cooled by water is used to loosen larger pieces of tartar. Next, hand tools are used to manually remove smaller deposits and smooth the tooth surfaces. Once all the tooth surfaces have been cleaned of tartar and plaque, the teeth are polished.

Crowns
An inlay or onlay is a partial crown restoration that can be placed when there is not sufficient tooth structure to support a filling but enough tooth structure left that a full crown is not needed. Inlays/onlays are made of porcelain or gold, and they aesthetically and functionally replace the missing tooth structure.
Bridges
An implant supported bridge is a restorative solution for spaces where three or more adjacent teeth are missing. This restoration typically requires two implants to support the porcelain bridge. The bridge provides a functional and aesthetic replacement for a patient’s natural teeth.
Dental Bonding
Cosmetic bonding is the process of filling or restoring teeth with a tooth-colored material in order to improve a tooth’s appearance. In order to bond a tooth, composite material is added to the tooth structure to adjust the size, shape, or color of the existing tooth.
Restorative Dentistry
The goal of restorative dentistry is to, at a minimum, restore function, strength, and health to a tooth that has been lost or damaged by dental trauma or decay. Depending on your preferences and the location of the affected tooth, you may also wish to restore its appearance by choosing a restoration that blends in naturally with the rest of your smile.

Root Canal Treatment
A cavity will not resolve on its own. If you don’t get a cavity treated, it will continue to grow. This can cause pain and compromise the structure of your tooth, eventually leading to breakage. If decay reaches the pulp at the center of a tooth, a root canal or extraction will be needed.

For patients who are missing many or all of their teeth, implant supported dentures may be an alternative to traditional dentures. This solution requires the placement of two or more implants. In order to replace a full arch denture, a minimum of four implants is generally recommended. Eligibility for this solution is dependent upon a number of factors, with jaw bone density being one of the most significant determining factors.

Dental implants replace tooth roots in the mouth. Implants provide a strong foundation for fixed or removable replacement teeth and can aid in the prevention of bone loss in the jaw.

Oral Surgery
Tooth Extractions
No, during your implant surgery, your mouth will be numbed, so you won’t feel any pain at all while we work. After your surgery, the local anesthetic will wear off and it’s likely that you will experience some amount of discomfort and tenderness. We will provide you with instructions to help minimize pain, but most patients describe implant surgery recovery as less painful than that of a tooth extraction.
Bone Grafting
A single-tooth dental implant ranges from $3500 to $6700, with the cost depending on the materials used, the tooth being replaced, and any supplementary procedures needed prior to dental implant surgery like bone grafting or a sinus lift.

Orthodontics
Dr. Kim has received the Fellowship and Mastership awards from the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Kim has been trained in general orthodontics from the American Orthodontic Society and he is a Preferred Invisalign® Provider. Dr. Kim is a member of the American Dental association and the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Invisalign Orthodontics
