Take your business to a company that values their customers and understands that customers are the reason they are in existance. This company has a monopoly on all of the apparel that is required for the BLET class at Vance Granville Community College. It is the only place listed by the college that you can buy necessary clothing for the class. I recently placed an order (8/6 ) and on (8/9), I called to cancel part of the order. Jean indicated that they (the business ) had not sent in the order, yet they had already charged my card for the original order amount. When they issued my refund, they kept 25.00 and called it a credit card fee. Jean indicated that this fee was to cover the 2 credit card transactions- one for the debit & one for the credit. There was no disclaimer on the order form stating that credit card fees were the responsibility of the consumer .A real business person realizes that processing fees are part of doing business as a merchant; they are not the consumer's responsibility. My perception is that the company got upset because I cancelled a portion of my order ( 3 garments out of 12) & retaliated by charging me a 25.00 fee. I hope that Vance Granville Community College will explore other businesses that offer the same goods/services so that future BLET students/parents have a choice in making required purchases. I can assure you that I prefer to spend my money with an honest, professional, customer satisfaction oriented business even if it means paying more.
