A non-profit, private institution affiliated with an international system of higher education, the university opened its doors in 2004. Touro University Nevada is home to more than 1,500 students in a wide range of degree programs in osteopathic medicine, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, camp administration and education.Â Many of these programs are the first of their kind in the state of Nevada. Â Â Â Â Â The TUN Campus is also home to the Touro University Nevada Center forÂ Autism and Developmental Disabilities. Â Â Â Â Â The Center is unique as aÂ multi-disciplinary,Â one-stop source for diagnostic services, therapyÂ andÂ supportive Â Â Â Â Â resourcesÂ forÂ families dealing with autism and other developmentalÂ disorders.Â Â Â Â Â Â The University also has a full-service patient clinic, staffed by practicing faculty members and open Â Â Â Â Â to the community.Â Current services include rheumatology, primary care, geriatrics, osteopathic Â Â Â Â Â manipulative medicine (OMM) and gynecology.
