Primary Care
The ChildHealth Center, PA, has adopted an Advanced Care Team model, in which team members support the Primary Care Provider (PCP) in order to provide patient centered medical care.
Ear Infections
Problem: Presenting with new problems or asking detailed questions not related to the original intention of the office visit. An example is asking about behavioral or sleep issues at an ear infection recheck visit.
Emergency Care
The calling service is for after-hour non-life threatening medical emergencies only. If you have a potential life-threatening medical emergency, call 911 or go directly to the Emergency Room.
Immunizations
The immunizations for the 5 year visit, can be given at the 4 year visit. This often makes it easier on the child because the 4 year old is not nearly as afraid of shots as the 5 year old.

Most ADHD medications are considered "controlled substances" by the FDA, and we must abide by federal law when we prescribe these medications. We are now able to electronically prescribe these medications to the pharmacy. It is your responsibility to keep track of the number of pills your child has left. We require at least one full working day to process the refill request, so be sure to call with your request several days before you run out of medication. We will electronically prescribe the medication to your chosen pharmacy.
