Overall
Hicksville Public Library is a...

Hicksville Public Library is a rip off to the residents who pay taxes.

I will explain in detail: Lets look at the few things they have failed to provide. There is no ramp or auto door for elderly or wheel chair bound people. Syosset,Plainview and Levettown have this. They are the only library without a video drop box for patrons of the library. Even Westbury and Hempstead as well as East Meadow have this. Again why would they care? Look around they have people working and talking because they are over staffed with our tax dollars. Ask for help in the video section and you will get a stare that will scare you away. Again failure to provide services with OUR tax dollars. The latest rip off is the house they purchased without giving the patrons a chance to vote. The house located next to the library was supposed to be used to expand the library but now it is used for the clerical staff. The offices up stairs with the lunch room was not good enough? The basement in this home they bought has mold and they plan to renovate for the staff and put new carpet and paint, again with our tax dollars. The computer center is for sale which again is property the library purchased with our tax dollars. They were offered 300,000 but they turned it down. The smart and cunning treasurer of our library is Brain Cleary is named small Business person of the year by Hicksville Chamber of Commerce, do we see a pattern of what is going on? Tax payers need to wake up and speak up. We are being ripped off.
