George Hortnagl's shop is a real gem. We have gone to him for years, and he has always been fair and honest. Up front he'll tell you if he can fix it or not. He'll give you a reasonably accurate estimate, have it done pretty close to his estimated time, usually before, and it's fixed right, first time. He doesn't have an answering machine or receptionist, so if he doesn't answer try later. This is not a shop for high end cars, but is the perfect place to keep most cars humming at a reasonable price. He is technically excellent, although your first impression when you walk into his shop will be underwhelming. If he can't fix it he has no qualms with referring you to someone who can.
