We set aside plenty of time for you to discuss possibilities, ask questions and review payment options. Veneers
Sometimes Dr. Campbell encounters cases where there is unhealthy tooth structure or old fillings are causing structural and cosmetic problems. In those situations, porcelain veneers or crowns may be necessary to restore the teeth to a healthy, beautiful and functional state. Veneers are thin porcelain coverings for the front of the teeth. Crowns cover the entire surface of the tooth. Dr. Campbell never advocates removing healthy tooth structure for cosmetics. That’s why we offer a variety of options to improve the look and feel of your smile.
Crowns
If cavities go untreated, they simply get larger, more complicated and expensive to fix, and more likely to cause pain. If the cavity gets deep enough, it can infect the tooth. Waiting until it hurts means waiting for more costly and invasive procedures, like crowns, root canals, or even extractions. Today we have great anesthetics to make sure you are comfortable, and great materials to restore your teeth.
Bridges
Dental Bonding
Cosmetic bonding is Dr. Campbell’s all-time favorite thing to do in dentistry. It provides a great cosmetic result, it is totally reversible, involves virtually no removal of healthy tooth structure, and is very cost-effective. Bonding is a process of adding white filling material to the teeth for cosmetic purposes. This is often combined with tooth whitening and recontouring. During recontouring, the surface of the tooth is smoothed and polished to give a more appealing look.
Restorative Dentistry
Dr. Vanessa Campbell began her dental career at the age of 16, working as an orthodontic assistant for her childhood orthodontist. She is a 2005 graduate of the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry where she earned both her Bachelors and Doctorate in a 6-year accelerated program, earning numerous awards. Dr. Campbell grew up in Michigan in a multi-cultural home and is fluent in Spanish. After working in Raleigh as an associate, she decided to open her private practice in Holly Springs in 2010. Since then, she has enjoyed working in and being a part of the small but growing community. Dr. Campbell is a strong believer in lifelong learning and takes anywhere from 50-100 hours of continuing education each year. She has had extensive training in reconstructive and cosmetic restorative dentistry. She has also been very involved in organizing continuing education events through the NC Academy of General Dentistry. In 2013, Dr. Campbell received her Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry, a designation only achieved by 6% of general dentists. Dr. Campbell and her husband Ryan met in the pep band at UDM. They enjoy traveling, hiking, music, and playing with their sons, Benjamin and Desmond. They also have a dog, Hulk. When she is not working, Dr. Campbell enjoys yoga, knitting, and cooking for her family.

Root Canal Treatment
At Campbell & Farrelly Dentistry we provide a variety of services to help you keep your mouth healthy and beautiful. From preventative measures and routine checkups to treatment options like cavity-filling, crowns, root canals and extractions, we will work with you to identify any problem areas and provide you with the best course of action.

Deep Cleaning
Treatment for periodontitis usually involves scaling and root planning, commonly referred to as a “deep cleaning.” In addition the dentist may recommend medications, rinses, more frequent cleaning visits, and possibly even surgery and other specialty procedures with a periodontist.

Dentures
Partials and dentures still have their place in dentistry. They are removable, so you can take them in and out at your convenience. Often they are paired with other treatments in order to get the best outcome. It is very common to create full dentures that fit over dental implants, so they snap into place for the best fit without any messy adhesive.

Dental Implants
Bridges are most commonly used when one or two teeth are missing in an area. They are cemented on so that they function like real teeth. Bridges are a great alternative if a patient is not a good implant candidate.
