Chemung Dental

I went to Dr Samy to have work done and felt no pain he is a great dentist. I was in pain and he had taken care of the problem

Ok so most people have only bad things to say about this dentist but my experience has been that I have to have several root canals, so far when he's doing them if it hurt at all he gave me extra novacaine, he knew how much to give me this time after he had to give me more last time so this time it didn't hurt. The other people are fine and so is the dentist's manner, though the receptionist blamed me for my having to cancel because I kept not being able to get a cab, even an hour ahead Totem is impossible. I switched to much more reliable Uber and no longer have that problem but I could have done without the attitude. But mostly I have had positive experiences.They have very up-to-date equipment too.

I take my child in for a check up and cleaning for the firat time and I'm told I can't stay in the room wirh her?! Bull crap! I was never introduced to the dentist and had to deal with the hugentist who was very rude. Let me tell you my child has some dental work done I will meet him or her before anyone works on her teeth! Also patiant confidentuality where is it? They bring your kid over to you and tell you in front of the whole waiting room which is not code of ethics.

NEVER EVER! Take your children to this torture place!!! They do not want you to stay back there with your child, they tried to tell me that my child needed 4 root canal's! I told them they were full of you know what and took her some where else and all she needed was a side filling on 1 tooth, didn't even need novacaine. They get 0 stars from me! WORST PLACE EVER!

When Dr. Friedland was there the dental work and environment was much different. Now, with Dr. Sammy, it's a much more tense atmosphere and the dental work is poor. On multiple occasions, I've had fillings fall out within weeks, and even had three teeth break that root canals were performed on within a week of the procedure. Now, I've requested my records be sent to another provider, but they have failed to do so for three weeks, even after multiple faxed requests and phone calls.

RUDE.... call because you need a filling and they want you to go to hygienists first, why in the world do you want your teeth cleaned when your in pain... Stupid, Agree with Samantha H

I had Sam as a Dentist and I would NOT want my worst enemy to go to him. He TRIED to perform a root canal and gave me the allowed amount of novicaine and I still wasn't numb.... I told him I could feel everything and he kept going anyways and hit my nerve or something because it was the worst pain I have EVER had......
