The Choctaw Vet Clinic, the vet and his staff are the most caring and professional vet clinic and staff that we have ever used. If you are in need for caring and professional vet clinic, use the Choctaw Vet Clinic.

Cotton, our happy blond furfriend was born December 2009, became ill on Sunday, July 2, 2017. His condition did not improve and I took him to the Choctaw Veterinary Clinic on Wednesday, July 4, 2017. The vet said he had hook worms and Cotton was given medication for the hook worms and I received hook worm medication for our other furfriends. We prayed for God’s help for Cotton.

Cotton did not improve and the wife and I took him back to the Vet on Friday, July 7, to have Cotton undergo IV therapy. When the vet checked Cotton again, he found a mass in Cotton's abdomen that was not apparent on the first visit since Cotton's abdomen was too rigid to be palpitated. The wife asked the vet to x-ray Cotton to see how bad the mass was and during the x-ray, Cotton passed over. The vet and his staff frivolously worked on Cotton to see if he could be revived. The wife and I asked the vet to stop for it was to heart wrenching on all of us and we knew that Cotton had passed over. When we left with Cotton for his last trip home, there was no bill from the vet.

In all of our years we have never meet such a God believing and competent vet and vet staff that cares so deeply for his patients and their families.

We do not have the words to express our heartfelt thanks for the vet and his staff for their endeavors to save our furfriend Cotton.

God bless them.

The wife received a call this morning, Saturday July 8, from the vet that the x-rays showed a tumor which was the cause of his passing over. God knew that there was nothing that could be done for Cotton so he allowed Cotton to pass over to be with Him to end Cotton's pain.

Cotton is missed and the sadness will end and the good memories will remain. Cotton rest in peace in Heaven.

God bless all.

I had a cat several years ago ...

I had a cat several years ago that had FIV and he was in bad shape. I took him here and they took my kitty to the back room with the door wide open where I could see him from the waiting room...they stuck about a 5 inch needle in his chest (was trying to get fluid they said), and hit his heart and all I heard was a loud MEOWWW!! scream and he was gone. Killed my baby INSTANTLY!! ;( I just started bawling. I will NEVER get over that horrible experience in my entire life. It gave me nightmares for months. Looking back, I remember that they were in a hurry because they were getting ready to go to a horse rodeo and didn't want to be bothered with my poor little guy. This office should be shut down. What a horrible excuse for a vet. I'm just glad I had the opportunity to rate them here. The bad thing about this whole thing is, is that to them he was just a cat. But he was so much more than that. He would play fetch, he would go to the lake with us and would swim out to us. He loved water. He was such a special cat that should have been born a dog. I feel like they took away a part of my heart. He probably would have died anyway, but I would have done things a lot differently had I known a needle in his heart would be the death of him. RIP little guy. You will always be loved and missed. ;(

One of the absolute worst vets I have ever encountered- EVER.When I first came to the Hugo area I had a nanny goat that was experiencing a difficult labor and needed to be put down due to injuries-The vet at this clinic not only refused to help me but was snippy and rude about it.

Now I find out that he is buddies with the animal rescue nazi idiots that have been attempting to have my herd of goats taken through their completely false allegations-He has plans to euthanize without my consent an animal from my herd.STAY AWAY from this vet-He is a Dr.Kavorkian for animals....

I called the after hours numb...

I called the after hours number twice. First time was because I was treating a hot spot on my 15 year old Husky and found maggots. I was advised by the vet, that she would be fine until the morning. About two hours later I found her crying and stuck in her dog door. She was unable to walk and was dragging her hind quarters. I called the after hours number again and was told to give her an aspirin and he would see her in the morning. Clearly not some one who cares about an animals well being. Thankfully Boswell Animal Kare saw her that night. Her condition was far worse than we realised and she had to be euthanized that night. We miss her terribly, but are so thankful that she didn't have to suffer longer than she did
