Wonderful place to deal with. They took the time to talk to me, discuss my issue and the technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. What a refreshing experience.

The owner/repairman of Intrepid TV Repair came to my house to (I thought) repair my 50-inch plasma TV, to which I had agreed to pay for a service call. My TV had lost picture but still had sound. I paid him $132.50, a price to be deducted from the final amount once the TV was repaired. He couldn’t find anything causing my problem and took it to his repair shop. He had asked if I wanted new or used parts to repair it. I told him new parts. He gave me a paper with an estimate of $450 for repairs, without knowing what the problem was. I informed him this estimate was unacceptable and I would buy a new set rather than repair an old set for such a price. He assured me that he was provding a top-end estimate but would most likely be cheaper. Over the next 2 ½ weeks, he claimed to have located the problem but twice the replacement parts he ordered had blown fuses in them. Ultimately, he admitted that these were used and NOT new parts. He also told me that the total cost of repairing it would come to around $470, including tax. Considering that every board in such a set can be purchased on eBay for $25-$50 used, I regarded his final price as highway robbery and told him to return the set, which he did do. I asked him to name the part he was attempting to replace, since I had ordered a new set and wished to sell my old TV on craigslist cheaply for parts. This information might have been useful in my ad, but he refused to tell me. In short, I had nothing to show for my involvement with Intrepid TV Repair but wasted money and wasted time. Hire him at your own risk.

Top notch service and friendly staff. After shopping around for estimates, these folks seemed the most knowledgeable. Their estimate fee was a little higher than most, but they took the most interest over the phone. The technician fixed it on the first trip and my Plasma looks good as new. Thanks Intrepid.
