Forest Cove Nursing & Rehab Center

I am rating only the rehabilitation unit at Forest Cove Nursing Center, not the nursing home (they are separated by double doors). The staff in the rehab unit is excellent. They don't have extra staffing, but each person is caring and kind to the people in the unit. The unit is clean - although the furniture is somewhat worn (as are linens, etc.). My MIL was in the unit for 5 months. She came in completely bedridden and not eating or drinking from the hospital. Within one week, she was eating and drinking again. Over this time period, they got her from completely bedridden (after a month in the hospital bedridden) back up and walking on a walker. They made a huge difference in her quality of life and ability to return home (she is now at home, able to drive herself, and can walk with a cane alone). They did an excellent job of managing her overall care and medication needs (removing her from medicines that she no longer needed). I can not say enough good things about the communication and caring of this staff. Anything that we had a problem with, we were able to talk with them and get help or resolution. I was very pleased with their work. It's not a plush facility, but they definitely do the work that is needed and do it well!
