Rheumatology
In 1990, Dr. Fraser joined the faculty of East Carolina University Medical School and served two years as Assistant Professor of Medicine. He has published extensively in the field of Rheumatology, especially in the area of muscle diseases. In 1992, he entered into private practice, specializing in Rheumatology, in the New Bern and the Coastal Carolina area.
Primary Care
All patient records are kept securely in a CCHIT Certified Electronic Health Record. A patient's health information including prescriptions is sent securely via Internet to other physicians and pharmacies. Coastal Arthritis is HIPAA compliant. No medically related information will leave this office unless specifically directed by a patient or sent to a primary care physician/referring physician (as specified under continuation of medical care clause of HIPPA).

Internal Medicine
Dr. Fraser is board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Fraser is a Fellow of The American College of Medicine (FACP) and The American College of Rheumatology (FACR).

Ultrasound
As one of the only rheumatologic medical practices in the Coastal Carolina area, we are deeply committed to the evaluation, treatment, and caring for all patients referred to our office. At Coastal Arthritis we offer a wide array of services to patients with rheumatic diseases. These services include medical treatments, surgical interventions, physical therapy, laboratory services, digital radiological services, ultrasound, and durable medical equipment (DME) supplies.
Radiology
Coastal Arthritis offers a wide range of services including CLIA compliant laboratory, ultrasound, and NC registered Radiology Department featuring state-of-the-art Digital Computed Radiography. We also offer physical therapy facilities for the non-medical or non-interventional treatment of bursitis, tendonitis, and other overuse injuries. We are a Durable Medical Equipment Supplier, Medicare Approved, and able to prescribe and fill all your equipment needs such as canes, walkers, wheelchairs, braces, splints, etc.
