Overall
Let me start with one negative...

Let me start with one negative, and then I'll get to the very very good!! To me, Santa Fe Place (SFP) does not look that good from the outside. Again, to me, it has a dated look. The building is partly salmon colored. That's why, for years and years I was never interested in this place.

It turns out the outside look is about the only negative (and if you like salmon color great!). This is an unbelievably great place to live!!! Its super secure, it has some cool views, out your front door dry, covered walking access to all of Crown Center/Union Station through The Link, and their reserve is super well funded (over $1million dollars in the bank!!!). You get access to about 1 1/2 acres of PRIVATE walking trails (all of this in the middle of the city and Crown Center). It also has 4 tennis courts, a huge one year new pool, outdoor BBQ, the usual gym, and a few soft friendly, eclectic older people living there. Parking is large and secure...and there is plenty of it. Add about $100 a month for each parking spot you need. Need an extra space for a few months...no problem. NO car? NO parking fee's. Some SFP condo's have garden views, with many tree's, a soft feeling, and in the summer time you hear a fountain from the garden below. Other SFP condo's have the city's best and closest views of Liberty Memorial (imagine seeing that huge monument lit up at night from your deck) and sunsets, sunsets, sunsets. Very very cool. Other SFP condos look north to the city, Liberty Memorial and Union Station...spectacular.

A couple of other things that might be of interest about SFP: Each floor has a community laundry room, very clean, easy access. Some condo's have installed their own washer dryer, but if you want to live green, this is the place. You will have NO washer/dryer repairs at SFP if you use the community laundry room!! Speaking of living green, try to find another place as green/efficeint as Santa Fe Place. Lets talk air conditioning: Crown Center makes its 'cool air' in one place, therefore each unit does NOT have its own AC unit. You will have NO Air Conditioning repairs in your future here. All you have to pay for in the summertime is to run your fan which brings immediate cool air, again manufactured in a plant at Crown Center. Very green! Very efficient!! This is a huge plus financially and environmentally. Some of these condo's even have zoned AC, where you can turn the fan off say in your living room, while you have cool air turned on in your bedroom. Green! And money saving!

Maintenance fee's are perceived as high at Santa Fe Place. When you have a big pool, Crown Center security/fee's and the benefits from those fee's, Crown Center manufactured cool air (that you would have to pay for separately in other condo's), Basic Cable, Trash, and 1 1/2 acres of upkeep, there is a cost, so that is the reality. Monthly maintenance fee's per square foot are for sure lower at most other condo's in the city, but many of the cool amenities listed above are also missing. Add in the financial stability of the $1 million dollar reserve, and a little extra per month is well worth it. Other condo's will have lower monthly maintenance fee's, but special assessments (for large repair items that their reserve can not fund) are coming their way, its just a matter of time.

In conclusion: Softness, Very Efficient, Softness, Green Living, Softness, Crown Center access out your front door, Soft Living in a high energy downtown, a bit more expensive, but not in the long run......and worth every penny!!!

ENJOY! Thanks for reading. My goal was to be fair and balanced in my review
