Model Home Furniture

Two years ago, my husband and I decided it was time to buy some good, quality furniture. We saved up enough money to buy said furniture and decided to go with the store "Model Home Furniture" in Katy Texas. As soon as you walk into this store, you are greeted by friendly, yet not pushy sales men and women. The store has beautiful furniture and furnishings, and feels like home, there is even a play room for the kids! After talking with one of the nice women, we decided to take her up on her offer of "If we buy today, in cash, then we get a free rocking chair". She assured us that the quality of leather for the chair, and the three piece sofa set (corner unit and two sofas with four reclining chairs) was excellent and would "Last for years" (15-20 to be exact). The woman said she herself owned the same set and loved it (though at the time she had only had it for a few months). She also assured us that the leather on the rocking chair was top of the line, and very durable. So, we took her word for it. We spent thousands of dollars on our new living room, something we had saved up for for years. We were so excited the day it arrived, but our excitement quickly dwindled after the delivery people left. See, we had a newborn at the time and a 2 year old at the time who were getting antsy, so, we just signed off on the delivery without inspecting it completely (in that, we didn't look behind and under the sofas). Within an hour after they left, I called the store telling them that the leather on the back of the sofas was already coming off!!! They assured me that the manager would call me back and arrange for a replacement or refund. That return call never happened, even after years of reminding them of their promise to us. Over the last two years, the sofas, and the chair have fallen apart. Two years! These items were meant to be "very durable" and were supposed to last "for at least 15-20 years", according to the sales woman. Model Home Furniture never returns our calls, never returns our Emails. We are so disappointed in our purchase and our living room looks horrible because of this cheaply made (yet not cheaply priced) furniture. We have no pets, we have been nothing but gentle with our furniture, we do not eat or drink on our furniture. This is "normal", (actually, gentle), every day use. As for the black rocking chair, we have not even sat in it in over a year, yet the leather is coming off, just the same. I hope that Model Home Furniture will finally live up to their promise of the day they delivered the furniture and give us a refund or replacement.

The individuals at Model Home Furniture do not return calls. I purchased a table from them and I have been waiting for the table for over 5 weeks. I called and they stated that it will be delivered the following week and they will call me once it arrives. I am still waiting for a call or my table. They seem to always use the excuse that the item was on back order. I will never purchase anything from them again. Stay away from this company.

I was referred to Model Homes by a neighbor, and stopped by the day I planned on moving to Austin. 2 hours later, I left with an oversized couch, a chair, a dining room table, 4 matching chairs, a tv stand and some wall decorations! The salespeople were wonderful and more than willing to help me out on my time crunch. I got a fantastic deal on everything and left extremly happy. I would recommend this place to anyone. They have furniture for my apartment, my parents house and everything in between! Happy shopping!

My husband and I moved to Katy in Sept 07. Over the past 5 months we furnished our entire home at Model Home Furniture and are very happy with everything! My daughter and her husband also purchased from them and are very happy as well. We both highly recommend!

I bought an Ashley bedroom set from Model Home Furniture in december. The Ashley Homestore told me it would take six to eight weeks to get in. I went over to Model Home Furniture and I just recieved my furniture (only took 2 1/2 weeks) and it is beautiful. They also guaranteed to beat Ashley Homestore prices. Plus the sales people there really know how to help decorate. I will definately be back
