        LCTA Bus Service that stands for Luzerne County Transportation Authority, located in Kingston, Pa., is a provider of mass transportation bus service in the region. It serves Wilkes-Barre, Kingston and the surrounding regions in the state from Monday through Saturday. Luzerne County Transportation Authority also assists handicap persons in fulfilling their transportation needs, and to meet requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Its special transportation efforts program, commonly known as S.T.E.P, is available in the general service area of the Luzerne County Transportation Authority. LCTA s S.T.E.P program permits approved handicapped persons to ride on vans operated by the Luzerne Wyoming Counties Department. Luzerne County Transportation Authority provides senior citizens free-fare and handicapped half-fare in schedule times.
